Evaluating the difference made by an advice service

Camden Citizens Advice commissioned Fiveways to conduct an evaluation of the outreach advice service it provides in the borough’s GP surgeries.
The research methodology was a blended approach of quantitative online and telephone surveys with service users and qualitative in-depth telephone interviews with service users, GPs and other stakeholders.
Our focussed evaluation enabled the charity to provide evidence to the funder of both the positive difference the service makes to those that use it, and the benefits providing the service on-site has for the GP practices themselves.
However, our report went further and clarified how the charity’s service helped to achieve the funder’s objectives of embedding prevention in primary care and working to tackle the wider, social determinants of health.

“It was great to work with Fiveways. They had an excellent understanding of our requirements and helped to ensure that the research delivered what we needed. The project needed to be completed within tight deadlines and their careful project management made sure it was. I enjoyed working with Justin and Richard and would have no hesitation recommending them to others – in fact I have already done so!”
